Deadline for contributions: March, 5th, 2010 *The dates* have been published already with the last newsletter: *Friday to Saturday 16.-17.4.2010* !SAVE THE DATES! *The place*: Salzburg, Austria *The mission*: One day symposium (science meets society) and one day community co-creation (networking event). *The title and program*: DAY 1 The fundamental concept of growth. Limits in an unlimited world?! This day will be designed as a science meets society event. There is no other underpinning current concept that tackles our minds and deeds more than the fundamental concept of growth. We are - it seems - conditioned to grow! By physics, nature, inter- and intra-psychological processes, or by societal concepts? The following tracks should be inspirations, but not limitations to your contributions. · Track 1 - The human: addresses the concepts from spiritual to material growth (including social capital). What have you learned from different scientific, philosophical, and spiritual schools and their understanding of growth? What is your personal opinion, your experience? What are today your disbeliefs and remaining questions? · Track 2 - The organization: addresses the images from liveability to sustainability of organizations underpinned by established and new insights into the concept of growth (including all aspects of strategic leadership and management) What have you learned from different management schools and their understanding of growth? What is your personal opinion, your experience? What are today your disbeliefs and remaining questions? · Track 3 - The society: addresses the questions from economics, welfare, happiness, etc. and all their diverse indices which are used today and maybe tomorrow to guide our social developments and our global societies for the better or worse. What have you learned from the different perspectives from sociology, political science to economics? What is your personal opinion, your experience? What are today your disbeliefs and remaining questions? *SUBMIT YOUR CONTRIBUTION!** *Please feel free to submit a title and short abstract for your contribution to the symposium – science meets society. *The vision for DAY 1*: Public awareness, press coverage and either peer reviewed journal contributions or even a book to be published (depending on the shared insights) DAY 2 The Change the Game Initiative – a growing community Yes, we, too ;-) have been growing, still want to grow, expand our ideas into this world. Let´s make another attempt. Our community members have the chance to present their current ongoing work to each other and the public sphere. *SUBMIT YOUR CONTRIBUTION!* Please feel free to submit a title and short abstract for your contribution to the networking event. Let us participate on initiatives, experiments and solutions initiated by yourself or those in which you are involved with other partners in changing the games for people in your specific small or great world (e.g. in different areas of education, training, games themselves, communication, understanding, development, strategies, innovation, ethics, corporate social responsibility, sustainability and so on). We want to recognize your efforts and search for support. *The vision for DAY 2*: Public awareness, new local and global nodes in a network. Your lecture should take about half an hour and will be followed by a moderated discussion (depending on the design this is just a first guideline). We will inform you until March 12th 2010 about the planed schedule and the possibilities to share your ideas including acceptance. The only limit we have so far is time we are able to spend together ;-) For those of you who are not able to attend the meeting physical, please consider to contribute via electronic media like a video message, video chat, or send a poster, information material, etc. And this invitation, call for participation is not limited to you. We will start a second call with the schedule for all of you and your network partners, who would like to join us as visiting guests. *The design*: will be created aligned to the submitted contributions. *The price*: free!
